Terms and Conditions – Do you agree?

By submitting your photos and text (the “Material”), you grant a royalty-free, unrestricted, non-exclusive, in perpetuity and worldwide right to the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) to reproduce and otherwise use the Material, in whole or in part and in any manner whatsoever, in connection with the Production and all its versions, adaptations and formats, as well as to promote the Production.

By clicking below on SUBMIT, you acknowledge having read and accepted the privacy policy of Hosted in Canada, a service provider that will store temporarily the data the NFB collects from you. You also acknowledge having read and accepted the privacy policy of Instagram, the digital platform on which the Production will be featured.

This data is being collected for the NFB project First Photo Here. The NFB may also use this information to communicate with the participants. All personal information supplied to the NFB will be treated in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act. You have the right of access, of correction of and of protection of your personal information under the Act, as well as the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada regarding the handling of your personal information.

You declare that you own and control all the rights required to grant the above rights to the NFB and the Material is not infringing upon the rights of others, offensive, defamatory, misleading, inaccurate or false information (personal or otherwise). Should you be depicted in the Material, you expressly give your consent to the use of your image, likeness and name by the NFB and/or any assign.

You hereby release the NFB and its assigns and licensees, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, causes of action(s), costs and expenses whatsoever, at law or in equity, arising out of the NFB’s use of the Material as herein provided.

You are not allowed to submit material if you are under 18 years old.
